Good morning, beloveds; Working a bit on my family’s history today. I didn’t care much for history until I started seeing my ancestors there in the story. In the mid 70’s I was suddenly drawn to learn about genealogy and took a correspondence course on the subject. I had no particular reason for this and was amazed how much I enjoyed it. This was pre-computer and so I had to do all the research on microfilm. Fascinating.
Some years later an elder Sufi teacher told us that we could do the work to unravel held karma in our lineages by meditating on each ancestor and doing whatever was needed to help them both heal and feel complete with their lifetime. I was so surprised that the reason for my attraction to geneology was suddenly obvious. I have spent the last nearly 50 years in this journey of discovery.
