We are definitely in the midst of summer right now. Outside it is hot and dry here in Colorado. A huge fire rages on the western slope, over 20,000 acres. My body does not deal well with heat. I just spent time out watering the garden and working with the squash vines that are heavy with fruit to support their bounty. Now my body feels tired and in need of a rest.
Even though this is an outward time of the year, usually, this year there is more of a sense of interiority with the pandemic keeping us closer to home. Since interiority is my usual way of life, it does not seem particularly odd to me, but I am curious how others are doing with it.
There is such polarity in the world and especially here in the United States. Truly the states are not very united right now. May the gift of the power of unity from yesterday spread and bring us to healing and hope. Blessings on your day.
